Clari-Fi uses blurring to simulate the challenges of viewing small images on mobile screens

Live demo (beta trial)

This page enables you to perform a quick visual clarity check on a mobile phone screenshot, which you can upload using the button provided below.

The screenshot will be presented at an enlarged size, and blurring will be used to simulate the challenge of viewing it on a mobile device. This tool can also be used to check banners, or any image file that is full width, but not necessarily full height.

The level of blurring corresponds to Clari-Fi’s Check Level AA. Details that remain visible at Check Level AA are reasonably easy to see — at least 48% of people will probably be able to perceive these details quickly and with certainty, when presented on a mobile screen that is 68 mm wide (which corresponds to iPhone 6+ / 7+ / 8+). See the Worked example for more detail on the different Clari-Fi Check Levels.
